Lifeguard in Massachusetts – Continental Pools

Start date: before or on May 27th to June 20th, 2023
End date: September 4th, 2023 or later

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe swimming pool environment, checking the chemicals in the water, cleaning the pool and pool area.

We are a leader in swimming pool services with market-leading service lines, providing superior support to our guard staff. Since the 1980s we have been providing exceptional pool management to commercial and residential clients.

For this employer, there is EITHER one date for lifeguarding class scheduled in Prague in April OR lifeguarding camp in the DC area, USA. !This is yet to be determined!

Wage: $15

Overtime: available

Pay frequency: bi-weekly

# of days per week: 5+ days

# of hours per week: 35-42 hours/week

# of hours per week in 2019: 42

Uniform: Estimated cost for lifeguard uniform is $25, payroll deducted.

Housing: Provided.

Expenses: $165/week. Utilities included (up to $130 per month, anything over $130 is students‘ responsibility), the Internet is not included. Rent is deducted from paychecks.

$250 is paid prior to your arrival, the rest is paid during the season.

$150 housing deposit ($100 refundable if accommodation is left damage-free)

Housing Overview: We provide furnished 2 or 3 bedroom apartments that you will share with other international students.

State Massachusetts: Boston area

A suburb of Boston, this area is heavily populated with many shops and restaurants.

You will ride a bike or take public transportation to your pool. Transportation expenses and bikes are included in your seasonal housing cost.

How to get to work? Walk, bike, public transport

Housing is located within 5 miles to the job site, so you will get there in 15-20 min by bike.

Bikes will be provided. If you are required to take public transportation to work, the employer will reimburse your expenses.

Pick-up at the airport: Provided

Students should arrive to:

– Dulles International Airport (IAD)

– Reagan National Airport (DCA)

– Baltimore–Washington International Airport (BWI)

Possibility to pick-up at the bus station Frederick, Baltimore or Dulles, MD.

You will have the opportunity to participate in planned trips on your days off. Some examples are amusement parks, beaches, museums, shopping, and kayaking.
