Lifeguard in DC area – Northern VA, DC, MD

Start date:    before or on May 27th until June 15th, 2023                  

End date:      September 4th, 2023 or later

Free uniform and $400 bonus if you work from May 27th to September 4th, 2023.

Free SPSA Pool Operator valid for 3 years in the areas where this is needed (worth $250).

All W&T students are provided with cultural enrichment opportunities during their program. Employer also arrange trips and games during the summer.

Wage: $14/hour

Overtime: provided 1.5x base wage

Pay frequency: bi-weekly, every other Friday

# of days per week: 6 days

# of hours per week in 2019: 55

# of hours per week 2022: 60

Uniform: $75 (2 T-shirts, swim suit, hip pack, CPR mask and whistle)

Housing: Provided

Housing cost for the season is $145 per week.

Housing deposit $250 ($50 is not refundable and $200 is refundable if you complete program and if your apartment is left clean and damage-free).

We provide 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments that will be shared with other international employees. Our apartments are fully furnished with table, chairs, sofa, kitchen appliances and supplies, lamps and beds.

Electricity, gas and water are included in the rent. Internet is not included. Each apartment will have a phone for local calling service only.

Locations:

Northern VA – Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Woodbridge, Manassas, Leesburg

Washington DC, Maryland

There is a possibility to find a second job at other pool companies in the area or teaching swim lessons.

How to get to work?

We locate the apartments as close to the swimming facilities as possible. It may be necessary for you to have a short walk or bicycle ride. In some cases, there might be a need of using public transportation (metro, bus).

Pick up at the airport and bus station: Provided

We offer pick-ups from Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Franconia-Springfield Metro Station from May 20th 2023 – June 1st 2023 Mon-Sat 9am-5pm.

From June 1st-June 15th 2023 pick-ups will be available Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
